OH YEAH! sorry, lol, i forgot. still wondering though! i looked on a website and was reading about blue tegu’s, and apperantly a few blue’s have the orange coloration on their undersides also...only leads me to another dark cave...:)

I’m leaning towards more of a "she", in the five months Ive had her, shes grown in length, but not so much in girth. not that this has anything to do with sex, just something about gizmo that seems feminine. this will, until further notice, be the final enclosure. if there is a need to upgrade i will, but that wont happen for quite some time, she’s at tops 26 inches.

thats why i got gizmo a water box, i just clipped off the lid to an old rubbermaid storage container, and voila, tegu-proof water dish.

if you do try it, make sure theres no substrate under it. i left maybe an inch of cypress mulch under the box, i come home from school and gizmo is sittin under the box with three gallons of water on top of him. naturally i flipped, got him out, and dug every bit of mulch out from under the container.

that they do. the one time he got out of his enclosure, i found him under the couch in my living room. i guess he either took the stairs or fell twelve feet from my room to the bottom. thats probably up there in his weird spots.

twelve feet is a LONG way to fall! but then again, if he fell he probably would’ve broken a leg or something. Seth got out once and i found her in my closet trying to eat some weird sweater...don’t even ask.... it’s amazing what they do.

yeah i checked him over, he looked fine, aside from a few dust bunnies stuck to his tail. but now i have a new problem. he punctured his outer ear scale, i feel like such a fool for not noticing it. it healed over, but there is a definite scar, around his ear and it runs down to his lower jaw.
