 Feeding question

Sup guys, I Have not been on in a while but I’m curious about this....my tegu he just does not seem to get into mice at all i don’t know why,i usually feed him ground turkey and fruit but i like to feed him mice every once in a while,he rarely eats them,he kills them and leaves them there or plays with them, i all ways feed him fruit and other stuff in a different cage but i just throw mice in his cage could he possibly be to use to eating in the other cage .should i try to feed him it in that cage? or give me some ideas

My teguixin is on and off on how she feels about mice.
I only feed f/t but she will shake them around quite a bit and then just leave them.
Usually I’ll just leave it in there and she eats it the next day (before anyone cries about that they DO eat carrion)
She just doesnt have the gusto for mice that she does for other prey items a good portion of the time.
I dont think it’s a problem for the lizard, just sucks wasting the money on a feeder only to have it rejected lol
I definatley get a better response about superworms,roaches and crayfish over mice as far as my teguixin goes, the merinae on the other hand is a mouse pounding machine:)
