would it be possible to keep a tegu or monitor in a room as an enclosure? ive read that argentine black and white tegus can tolerate cold to hot temps. i know iguanas can but can tegus and monitors?

not a very good idea unless you also provide basking areas with proper heat temps and a refuge/area where the tegu can burrow/hide. usually people who ask if tegus and iguanas can be kept in a room without an enclosure are trying to cut costs by not making a enclosure. not really a good idea...unless you basically renovate and devote an entire room to it
