and all deeseeded
apples
strawberry
grapes
oranges
pears

he is a hatchling about 10 inches long I blend all those fruit and veggies for my sugar glider and freeze it in a ice cube tray and was wondering if i could give him them once in awhile....he likes fruit so i think he would like the cubes.

 Question about tegus diet

I would avoid citrus (oranges) and you dont need to deseed them. I tend to use more fruits than veggies in my tegus diets, but occasionally ill sneak a small bit of romiane lettuce in their turkey.
Mangos and melons would be a decent addition as well.

 Question about tegus diet

I have tried thawing out mixed fruit/veggies cubes (that i freeze in ice cube trays and give to my feeder insects) and offering to my tegus, they have never shown much interest in them. Actually my tegus dont show much interest in fruit/veggies period so I mix in it turkey and get it in them that way.

 Question about tegus diet

Citrus has been documented as being harmful to reptiles, if you gutload your feeder insect toss some orange slices in with them and then feed those to your tegu to pass the nutrition.

 Question about tegus diet

bananas should be avoided or be a scarcity in a tegus diet... too much phosphorus in their diet can be fatal

I have never read that anywhere......but he I blended up one whole apple minus the core and seeds......pluse one whole banana.......it made about 6 ice cubes.......I only give him an ice cube once a week and he is still small so he doesnt it all......should that be okay?

 Question about tegus diet

Bananas are fine once in a while. if you feed themf requently though it will throw off the calcium:phosphorous ratio, that’s when problems can potentially occur.
