 Considering A Tegu ~ Questions

Okay, first off, on average how big does a tegu get, and how big of a cage should I build?
Whats the suggested basking temp? What rating uvb tube does one need?
Substrate thats least likely to cause impaction?
Since I’m a vegetarian, can they live without beef, chicken, etc? I can feed mice and any bugs, just not meat.

Thanks ahead of time,
Herbie (Britt)

It all depends on what tegu you want. Make sure you feed him whole prey Items like mice, chicks, cricks, Worms etc.. If you have a problem feeding mice and chicken look in to Iguanas they are cool.

He is a 3-year old Colombian tegu, and U have a baby Colombian tegu they are mean, but I LOVE THEM.

 Considering A Tegu ~ Questions

I haven’t gone near an iggy since my friend’s ripped two dozen holes in my arm. Yikes.
Hmm, I think I’ll just stick to bearded dragons and corn snakes. I’ve got more coming as it is. (Girl is pregnant)

I would, but you really shouldn’t keep them together. They will fight :(

Inland Bearded Dragons. You know not to house them together right? And the massive amount of commitment it takes for the babies to come? All hell breaks loose when they hatch.
