 Zeke & his Cage

Eh, although i am in the process of adding some vegetation i wanted all to see him and his enclosure.

The large display part is the main cage, off the the top left are two cupboards that we made into another section of the cage (currently closed off) and the bottom part (where the doors are) is filled with 3 feet of substrate (currently closed off).
Also, i was in the middle of changing his uv bulb :P
so basically it was perfect timing for a photo shoot :D

thats cool. does he actually go up in to the top left part? would you mind getting come close ups of the different sections? it sounds like a cool cage. i bet he likes it.

Um, like i said its closed off, so i dont know if he will like it. But he does enjoy the large area... and yea i will take some more pictures closer up :D

ooh so you have never let him in it yet? i thought you just ment you were doing work on it so it was closed off for right now.

No we havent :/

I had built a waterfall in his cage for him, but when i got him he was extremely small and would wedge himself inbetween the rocks so i tore down the waterfalls for now, i plan on rebuilding it this summer.
So yea, i have made quite a few changes and havent really opened the top left corner yet :/

Once i get the substrate/temp/humidity at a constant for at least a week, then ill open it up for him, and ill give ya an update on it :)

sounds good. are tegus climbers? i didnt think a tegu would use all that height that you have in your cage. does he ever go up to the top?

Umm not normally no, tegus arent known for their climbing.
Although before zeke was in there, i had a breeding pair of Argus monitors :P

And no, the height i provide for Zeke isnt necessary but he does like it, the cage was again made for a breeding pair of Argus monitors, who do indeed get way larger than tegus and love climbing.

But yea little Zeke is up there every morning basking :)
