 Help and Suggestions for my tegu
hey wats up guys....thanks for all your replys on my message i posted up about my tegu but im still trying to figure out what type of tegu is he...lol. im new here to the forum..i jus joined last night and ive had tegus for a bit and before that some snakes and monitors....but now that im here i get to socialize with you guys and wanted to talk to you huys out there and ask for suggestions and advice on what cage or tank should i use and what should i feed my tegu and what substrate should i use and i wanted to know what is basking? right now i have my baby tegu in a 10 gallon tank with calci sand and a heat lamp but ima buy a heating pad....and hes currently eating large crickets...and i have a water dish for him ofcourse...i feed him 1 time every week...and ill put a pic up of my tegu again...hope to hear from you guy

theres not enough temp gradient in a ten gallon tank and you need to get 6 inches of cyprus mulch from walmart for him to burrow in instead of the sand
