 Help with insects.....

Wats up my fellow tegu owners....i had a question about mites and ticks and all those annoying things....i wanted to know whats the best item i can purchase to keep my tegu clean of any insect or harmful bugs....i have a spray called reptile relief but idk if its good....so talk back..thanks guys

Really there is no reason that your herp should have any bugs ... even if you let him outside, especially in new york lol..

And if for some reason your herp does get an exterior infestation fill your bath tub with warm water high enough to where the herp is completely submerged but can still breathe (tegus can hold their breathe for quite a bit of time). Once submerged the insects will float/swim to the top because they cannot breathe underwater or hold their breath ... from there scoop the little critter out with a sift or watever and kill them with bleach.
Id let him/her soak for a good 15 mins (make sure it can access air) then pull him out and check everywhere for the stubborn ones. If there are still some dudes left on there then you can use the chemicals, but otherwise i advise ya’ll to steer clear of any pesticide (which is what any tick or insect killer is).

No problem mike.s...thanks alot....i really didnt trust that stuff...i used it once cuz i was a bit nervous...i jus like 2 be on top of everything....but i havent saw anything...
