Urgent Question on B/W Tegu 
Hi, I just got my b/w tegu today from pets unlimited. Hes in a 50g tank, basking spot of 120, overall temp of about 85-90. Hes just a baby, about a foot long. He looks to be a little dehydrated. When I misted him he flipped over and lay there on his back. He had a little trouble getting back on his feet. Im assuming thats not normal.. None of my other lizards do that when I spray them, but I dont have any experience with tegus.

If you have just got him then he could be very stressed from the change as tegus dont responed to change very well at all. But that sounds extremely wrong if he has turned on his back. If you think he is dehydrated then try giving him a bath or shower, he should drink and possibly poo if he needs to.

try putting him in a warm bowl of water for about and hour for a week, never seen a tegu roll on hes back though.
