 Need some help here with my shelby

we got a red tegu about 2 months ago and we have had nothing but bad luck with him. He is around 6 months or younger not to sure pet store had no clue.
first had to take him to the vet cuz he would not eat. the vet gave him baytril shots 3 of them then tub fed him on the 4th day. so then i noticed he had some dead worms in his pooh and called the vet again he gave him a de wormer. i still have to give him his second dose in a few days.

OK so my question is he wont eat anything but raw eggs we have tried everything. tried putting the raw eggs on things no go there tried cooking the eggs all ways no go there either. what can i do now?
I’m scared that hes still sick, now i know he is having his first shed since i have had him and its a bad one.
he is very active tho climbs all the time up all day sleeps at night under is blankie ya he has one he spoiled.
so any one got any idea what up here with my Shelby?

well, what food have you been offering him? Mice? Fruits? Veg? There could be a problem with the worms and once they are out of his system he might eat fine. You have done the right thing with the vet. Maybe you should ask him/her why ur pet isnt eating anything but eggs. Also, you shouldnt have the beardie out with the tegu, it can be very stressful for both of them.

Listen...........

I have a solution. Your tegu has worms. Its a very stressful process for the tegu to get rid of. The worms will die off, but your tegu wont each much for this week and maybe the next.

Now, you say the tegu eats raw egg. Ok, take a frozen/thawed small rat and dip it into the egg. Take the egg dipped rat and see if its interested.

well if she likes raw eggs feed them to her u can just put powder calcium on it and take pinky mouse legs and put them in the egg q2 get him use to eating other things
