 Need Help Tegu

Hi there,
I need help with my new argentine black and white tegu. The problem is I jus got the tegu and he is a few weeks old, he is so scared of everything it’s hard 2 feed him, handle him, most of all catch him he is so fast, he runs away all the time. He bit me 4 times when I try 2 catch him. Please I need help what should I do I don’t want him 2 act like this when he gets older.

u need to give him time to adjust to his new surroundings... an trying to chase him down in his cage is only going to make him for afraid of u.. patience an time is the key thing here just spend as much time in the room with him as much as possible. he is small an u r big in the wild big things eat little things don’t push your self on him that will get u no where just give it time an take it slow and he will come around.........
