Sometimes when you first get them home, they may not seem to aggressive. But always be careful with babies, just like with snakes never be to comfortable. Always watch yourself because with tegus it could change, he’s only a baby. But most are usually fine if they are handled so much at a young age. I would recommend luring him outside of his cage with tongs and feed him right outside of it. Never do it by hand, just in case he might mistake your hand as his food and you’ll end up with a nice bite! But since he is new, he might not understand that the bin is where he’ll be eating, so he will be a bit nervous. You can to pick up a routine that he will know. He’ll soon understand when its feeding time, and when you are taking him out to play.
