Check areas of the house that are warm like behind the fridge or computer. Look under couches and check to make sure there are no tares in the under fabric to make sure he hasn’t gone up into the body of the couch. Would he have had access to the whole house or a confined area? Try setting his fav food out. How big is he? They are pretty good escape artists and many lose their tegus then they show up when they feel like it. Now that he has found a way out of the tank he will continue to escape so while u wait for him to show up you can work on fixing the tank so he can’t get out.

Clothes piles and closets, they love to burrow and explore. Keep an eye out for tails as once their body is covered they think they can’t be seen.
turn the couch over slowly and check under and feel for anything inside it.
Recliners have moving parts ... don’t use em till to you find pet just in case you find your pet the wrong way.

Good Luck oh and check cabinet doors in kitchens and bathrooms too easy for them to open

hey forums i forgot to post i just found him like three days ago but the really strange part is some how the tegu got bigger beacuse when i first got him he was 15 grams and when i got him i cheked how many grams he was and he was 25 grams how is this possible

Have you looked for your cat? LOL. If you have other pet foods on the floor, best bet is your Tig was helping himself when you weren’t looking.

When it comes to food most tegus arent too picky! You may want to bump your temps up for a few days and monitor bowel movements. Tegus will eat just about anything including carpet fibers, bottle caps or just about anything that will fit in their mouth. A couple good soaks too will do him good. I am glad you found him!

ya i dont think he anything bad cause the second day i found him i gave him a bath he pooped normally i didnt really see anything wrong but for some reason he barely eats i tried giving a pinky,mealworms,he eat a little bit of some egg i gave him fruits and he only lickes it and walks alway

it was under my cabinet and the way i found him was by leaving my cage light on incase he came and he did
