Im thinking of getting some type of frog...

Right now i have 3 firebellies in an aquatic tank ... mostly all water.
I have an extra 10 gallon tank that i would like to fix up as the more...mossy, wet, messy bed a beast sorta tank for some type of frog.
I have a whites tree frog in a 10 gallon and he’s fine, almost 7 years old, but he kinda just sits in the same spot ALL THE TIME and we hand feed him freeze dried crickets, he’s so funny when he’s awake.

If you have any idea’s of what type of toad/ frog that is sold in petsmart/petco sorta places let me know, i dont really want one that will outgrow the 10 gallon.
thanks!

Freeze dried crickets are not an appropriate diet for frogs. They gain moisture from their food and freezedried has none. He sits in one spot out of boredom most likely, a ten gallon is MUCH too small for a treefrog, let alone a whites since they are large. Since he doesnt have to hunt for his food he is getting little to no excersize and could be overweight.

A ten gallon tank is actually too small for alot of frogs and toads.

No he’s not over weight, he’s been to the vet because because we thought he grabbed something off my desk once when i had him sitting in a bowl while i was changing the substrate in his tank, but the vet said he was fine, and he gets live crickets too when i get some that are too large for my firebellies, but i had him in a 20 gallon long tank for monthes and he still just planted hiself in the same spot all day lol just getting up to eat and to get in his water so thats why i moved him to a 10 gal

Well first of all, as said before the 10 gal is way to small for a white’s tree frog.
And he would sit in one place all day, because they are nocternal, they don’t normally move around in the day time. They hunt and eat at night. There are not very many frogs or toads that would be happy in a 10 gal. A 10 gal would be very hard to have the temps and humidity right for a white’s.
I’m not trying to be rude. But.... It sounds like to me, you should do research on the frogs you have and make them happy first, before you go out and get any more.
One white’s 20 gal second white’s add 10 gal.

Please, all of my animals are fine and happy, the temp is right he has a fogger to, he is healthy and 7 years old. Do not tell me to make my animals "happy" before i get more when you know nothing except the tank is 10 gallons, you obviously depend on all Internet resources for your animals, and dint experiment to what fits the animals, and your needs. Like i said before before i got him I DID research him and i had him in a 20 gallon long tank with large water bowl and bed a beast and moss, the whole kitten caboodle, everything, and there was no need for all that room for one, so i moved him to a 10 gallon, their is nothing wrong with that what so ever and he is healthy and fine, i think you should try to give people advise on what they are trying to do and not discourage them from doing so when you do not have enough facts to base all your judgments on.
If you do not have any suggestions for frogs that can live in a 10 gallon besides the one i already have, thanks anyways, and other people may have other opinions.

Its your frog and do what you please. As sad as that is to any White’s owners.
I don’t get all my info from the internet, and I really don’t think you will find anyone that has a white’s will agree with a ten gal tank.
Have you ever wondered why, this frog only sits in one place? Its a tree frog, it should be climbing and moveing around. Hmmm just a thought.
