 Finally I am Back . . .



This is my set-up, although I have double the rocks now so that they have 1/2 land & 1/2 water.



It’a about time I made it back. I have questions though. Why do my toads get so dark sometimes?? I have a nice set-up, they have a diet of powdered crickets. I have a water filter . . . how do I get them to make babies??

you really need to watch them when they eat, or cover up the gravel on the land part. That gravel looks really tiny and could easily grab one with a cricket. Getting eggs is kind of luck. Giving them more to eat than just crickets help, and raising the temp and dropping it will sometimes get them in the mood of mating.
Nobody knows why they change colors so much, but they deffinatly do and its nothing to worry about.

Also, have you heard any mating calls (barks)??

They bark all the time!!! If they get a rock in their mouth they just spit it out. Now looking at the set up, it is the same stuff but looks totally different now. I will post a new pic soon. Seeing all the pics of set-ups on here makes me want to redo their living arrangements, however I do not have a lot of time in my life right now to focus on such things.

My toads change colur to, and that is something so natural for them, i use to have them in a place where they didnt feeel confortable with the light, it was too iluminated and they where hidding all the time, and they where dark, and also they change colour depending on the food they get, temperature, and alot more that i cant understand, but they will be fine if they eat fine. A biger place, even better.

I’ve heard that if you slowly raise and lower the temp of the enclosure, it will get them to mate.
I have a male and female FBT and that haven’t mated yet. About 4 months together.
