 A FBT question

I have 3 FBTs and want to start breeding them. I have no idea if any of them are male or female. Here are pics of the 3 of them.

Stumpy (he only has half of a right back leg):

Grendel:

Beowulf:

The 3 of them together:

Here is a pic of their tank. I know I still need to get a few things for them to hide in and play on. Any other suggenstions would be much appreciated.

 A FBT question

I was thinking that as well. I heard someplace that you could tell the difference between genders by looking at the middle toe of their hind legs. Is this true or not?

 A FBT question

I can’t say if it’s true or not, but my female FBT certainly seems to have a longer middle toe on her back feet.

If you look at the females their webbing makes them have long middle toes on the hind feet and the males webbing goes almost to the tip of the toe.

 A FBT question

MMMMM, the pictures suck, so i cant tell, but, as an advice, you have to be really patient, and wait until one of them starts to sing, and go carefully to observe who is it, carefull not to scare them, remember you are just a big monter that could eat them, so they will stop singing if you aproach to exited, and why do you have to observe the singing? well, because just males sing.
With the skin is a good way to know if its a female o male, males have a rough skin, like with alot of pertuberances, but there is another thing, males behind the eyes hve like a line of spots like in the neck, and longer arms to grab the female from behind.
My males grab another toad, just to see if its a female, if both are males, both sing, if one is a female and she is not ready to mate, she will squeeze and escape from him, just males go on top!
i will post you a picture to demonstate that my males do have those lines behind his eyes, one line per eye.

this is a female, and i have the bad new to tel you that she escaped.
there are no lines.

and these are a male, in the left and the female.
Observe the arms, the skin.
hope this is usefull, hope to have coments back to help better

 A FBT question

It’s really hard to tell. When they start croaking, I approach them very slowly (otherwise they stop) and look at their throats. The one whose throat vibrates while the croaking is happening is the culprit.

I am almost positive Beowulf is a male. He is the only one that mounts the others (mainly Grendel).
