Fire Bellied Toad Water? How deep can it go?

They are really go swimmers, right? How deep can I go with my water? Does it really matter? I am going to set up my tank like a half land/half water type deal and want to make sure they won’t drown.

Oh what a great subject.
I hope to interrupt the plans of making a half half tank, OK, let me tell you that i did that like at the beginning of the year, and i must tell you this for you to have a better tank if you let me tell you what happened to me.
FBT are incredible swimmers, really, and they can swim as fast as a fish, and deep too, but they wont be swimming all day long, they just use water as a way to go one place to another, and then, again, they stay still.
So my ideas came from observing that, and this little animals will like a place to stay calm and to socialize, and the idea that i want you to grab from my brain is the place where they will use to do this.
Make like a deep pool for swimming, and this deep pool can be as deep as you can imagine, and place some fast growing water plants, and some stones that reaches the water level, fish too, toads rarely attack, use those fish that clean the glass, the filters for all the water section.
Ok but the place that i want you to understand brom a beggining is a place with water but not that deep to let them swim, like a shore, to US would it be the kids side of the pool, where you can lay down to relax and be sited inside the water.
This shore place must be a little bigger than you think, i have problems with my tank because the territorial fights are for that place, they wrestle until just one male owns the place, until another wrestles back for that.
I would make plans for how many males i will have, and make a shore for one of them, and a couple of females for each.
The deep pool could connect those shores, use the filter of the deep section to filter the shores, it works cool. and the land section must have plants and hiding places, the wires to the electricity and a pump to take the water from that part, or the water will go down and will stink the land, so use, land in the top, then sand to make a half of the deep of the dry section, and from the midle half to the bottom use come stones that support the sand and the land in top, but dont forget the pump.
Shores may have hiding places too, and slow growing plants, for them to lay eggs.
I placed a fogger in the shore area because is perfect for the little fogger because the deep was calculated for it to work correctly.
If you need photos from it, i posted a sequence when i did my tank. search for it.
Good luck and i hope you understand my expression, English is not my mother language.

I mean that you make one shore per male and his females.
