Where did you get them all to? That cage is way, way to small for all those toads. Get a bigger container, it can still be plastic if you want. I keep my 1 american toad in a 10 gallon glass cage. :) That tank only cost me 10 bucks at walt mart. ;)

Definitely not Gulf Cost Toads, they aren’t from that area and those toads don’t show the distinct pattern of Gulf Coast Toads.


That toad in the back right corner looks like it may be a Fowler’s, but the rest are distinctively Americans. Can you get us clearer pictures?

they still have a bit longer to wait but everything is coming along
they all ate waxworms and crix yesterday

when i picked them up again,none of them made a sound,they just peed on my hand
is the male call loud,maybe i didnt hear it

That’s it? You got to be feeding them way more than that. They should get at least 5 mealworms and 4 crickets each. Make sure their care doesn’t get bad. Some times with alot of the same kind, you don’t take care of them as well as you should...

Mealworms aren’t that good for them because of the outer "shell". Too many can get them constipated or worse.

I think one mmiigghhtt be a fowler toad, but I cant tell very well. beautiful coloration though! my toads are around an inch long.

feeding them to much can cause weight gain problems. I feed them depending on size. my biggest one gets about 1 horse fly and 2 house flies a day. the others get maybe 3 house flies a day. American toads can go a couple weeks without food actually, so feeding them tons isnt needed. I’m very very happy, when I first got Pad he was super skinny. Today after 4 house flies I was checking him for any injuries or infections, and discovered that he was gaining weight now! YAY! he has a cute little chubby belly now, and his backbone is almost hidden. =) tommorrow as a treat he can have a horse fly.
