 Water Stain Question - Need Help

I have a 55 gal tank that I house my 6 FBT’s in. My cousin gave me the tank, it’s old, but it works. It has a ton of water stains, it drives me nuts! Now i’ve done research on the net and found a few ways to remove them, and wondered other opinions if it’ll work?

Vinegar? Said to fill the tank with vinegar and little water. Let it sit like that for a few hours rince and that’s it.

Magnetic Sweeper? Credit card size thingy that you put on the wall, one piece on the inside, one on the outside?

Salt - scrub walls down with salt?

Any of these options good? Or is there another way? I don’t want to do anything that is going to jeapordize my FBT’s, and I hate to spend money on a new tank just because of spots, but it is driving me nuts! lol

The vinegar works well-just be careful about getting it into the water even though it is all natural. Put some vinegar on a wet rag and wipe the sides-you may have to repeat this a couple of times. You can also try a magic eraser-I have heard this works as well.

Thanks! I’ll try that, i’m going to wait till i break the tank down and clean it so I don’t stress them out with my hands in the tank so much. And it’ll be easier to wipe down and clean! Hopefully it’ll work!!! Thanks!

Those magnetic things, DO NOT WORK. I have one for my turtle tank and they do not work. They can scrub away allegy(sp?) and recent water stains. But old ones that have dried n stuff it does not work at all.

The vinegar does work well, but you can also try Gue Of. That’s what I use.
