 Questions

After about 2 weeks can you clean coconut husk substrate, perhaps boil it, or does it need to be completely replaced?

Also I have two toads, one is fairly active and chases crickets down but the other is a sit and wait kind of toad. The problem is that when I feed them the more active toad gets most of the crickets. Anyone have any advice for making sure my other toad gets enough food?

Thanks!

I would try separating them during feeding time.

They shouldn’t be together at all. Different species means different set up which means one will eventually succumb to an earlier death than need be.

 Questions

I was told by Reptile City, where I ordered the toads, that they would be fine together and the only care sheets I’ve been able to find for them were identical.

 Questions

Pet stores, no matter how much they try to do right, usually don’t. Mine, which I love because they know how to cure anything and have a reptile/amphibian on-call, did not house their toads correctly either. He changed everything once I came back with research verifying I was correct.

They could be the same care sheets because someone might think they are the same toad. We had someone here a while ago who had a pet store tell him what type of toad he had but found out its true name when he posted the pictures. If you can, post the pictures and someone, actually, most people might be able to help you see if they are what you think they are and give you the correct care for them.

Never mix species, no matter what anyone says.
