 I found this little guy are girl yesterday.Help??

I found this little guy yesterday and the people next day wanted to kill it so I got it in.I will be letting it go soon.I would love to know what it is.The pic’s I looked up it looks like a fowlers are a american toad.Please help.The type will help me keep it.If it’s a american toad I will be letting it go because I have heard american toads get much bigger the fowler’s is that true.I’ll be keeping the fowler’s for me daughter because she wants it bad.It is big already 2’’ wide and 4" long or should I just let it go. Here are the pic’s

i can’t tell what the breed is, but i can tell what it isn’t. It probably isn’t an american toad because it has black markings. But if it is an american toad they are not too bad too keep.

if you decide to keep him, remove the wood chips. they can seriously hurt him! try organic potting soil.

looks pretty American to me lol. (American toad that is) Very easy species to keep..lots of dirt and bugs and a bit of water..and you are good!:P

looks like a fowlers toad. u can tell by the number of warts inside the black spots. american toads have 1 or 2. fowler’s have 3 or 4.

fowler’s and american’s get about the same size. if he’s already 4 inches long, he won’t get much bigger. the biggest i’ve EVER caught was 3 1/2 inches. good luck with him!!
