FTB mating Most any general Tadpole Caresheet would be fine for the FBT tadpoles. Eggs will probably take anywhere from 1 week - 1 month just depends on the temp of the water, the colder the long, the warmer the shorter. So If I was you I’d just read a few good caresheets about tadpoles and have something ready for when they do have eggs. Though sometimes they won’t actually mate. They will try but nothing will happen. The last batch of FBT’s I had for about 3 years always tried to mate, but no eggs were ever found.
Anyways, If your still unclear on something or have problems, please feel free to ask.
Cheers, Cody.

I am wondering, how did you get them to go into mating mode? I have 2 FBTs which I think are a pair (maybe I could be wrong?????), they are very active and healthy with huge appetites, but I have kept them for 5 years and they’ve never done it...

FTB mating Maybe just the luck of the draw? Haha. I had mine for about 3 years and they always barked but never mated or had eggs.

I am beginning to think that if you keep a larger group of them (more than just 2) then they are better stimulated to go into breeding mode, but maybe there are some other factors involved (like cycling them through a hibernation period). Here is an article I found that might have some good pointers:

FTB mating I didn’t do anything special, I would actually prefer it if they stopped mating because I have over 80 tadpoles now and they just laid eggs again D: hahaha. I have noo idea what I’m gonna do XD

Wow, you could go into business selling them! Maybe it would be best for me not to know the secret because frog tanks are taking up so much space in my room, I may soon have no place left to sleep!

FTB mating Only crap part about business is that at first, you have to spend a buttload of your own pocket cash on insulated boxes, plastic containers, heating/cooling packs, and none of it is really cheap. I think the cheapest is the plastic containers which are basically plastic food containers, that you can get like 500 of them for 20 bucks.

Maybe I might want to try it! I sure am not making much money on my regular job! :-P
Keeping large numbers of live animals worries me a little though, because sometimes just the ones I already have are all I can handle!
