A few....
Jerry lately has been a bit sleepy, and was wondering by re-arranging her things in her enclosure, would that make her more active? Is it ok to have rocks for climbing things in loois enclosure? I have a log for jerry inwhich she rarely uses, is it best to keep it in incase she does sue it as a second hide or decides to climb? or can i disinfect it and use it for looi as he’d enjoy it? And last of all, What is the best thing for under a basking light such as: A slate? A Rock? Oyster shells? Hemp? woodchips? Bark? or something like large pebbles? |

Jerry is most probably sleepy because of the time of year an enclousure change may work on a temporarily to get her active, but after a few days she will have finished exploring and will go back to being sleepy again. Under my basking lamps I use a flat piece of slate with a surrond 1-2 inches accross of either woodchips or oyster shell. The majority of the substrate in the enclousures is hemp, with sand/soil mixed 40/60 as well as pebbles in places. |
