 A few....

a few question haha, sorry.

Jerry lately has been a bit sleepy, and was wondering by re-arranging her things in her enclosure, would that make her more active?

Is it ok to have rocks for climbing things in loois enclosure?

I have a log for jerry inwhich she rarely uses, is it best to keep it in incase she does sue it as a second hide or decides to climb? or can i disinfect it and use it for looi as he’d enjoy it?

And last of all,

What is the best thing for under a basking light such as:

A slate?
A Rock?
Oyster shells?
Hemp?
woodchips?
Bark?
or something like large pebbles?

Rocks and other decor are an essential part of a torts enclousure IMO. I use logs, hides, pebbles and a variety of substrates so certainly add some bits for looi to explore. If you are collecting from outside boil everything first to kill bacteria.

Jerry is most probably sleepy because of the time of year an enclousure change may work on a temporarily to get her active, but after a few days she will have finished exploring and will go back to being sleepy again.

Under my basking lamps I use a flat piece of slate with a surrond 1-2 inches accross of either woodchips or oyster shell. The majority of the substrate in the enclousures is hemp, with sand/soil mixed 40/60 as well as pebbles in places.
