Though I haven’t heard of one of those I actually build my own from wood and its really not that hard. Those kinds of bins tend to have really tall walls and not so much space on the bottom. I’m not an expert on bins though. I built my tortoise a 6’X3’ with 1 foot tall walls and the whole thing is 4 feet tall and the wood cost me like 40 bucks. Just a suggestion.

Go to Target.com and look under plastic totes in the Home: storage + organization section. They have some there, but I’m not sure on the sizes.

Well after I built mine I waterproofed it, like a patio or a deck. If not you can always line the inside with a plastic or vinyl. Its real fun a really rewarding actually, and with building one you can do anything you’d like instead of accepting what you buy. If youre spending the money it might as well be perfect, dont you think?

Your pond is going to be for a turtle, not a tortoise correct?!?

 Rubbermaid bins?

Glad to hear it potatoeman. Best of luck with everything. I built mine a 3 wall shelter in the corner with a rag to act as a 4th wall and to keep warmth in but since mine is outside I bought this really cool heater from petco, it looks kind of like a light bulb but it doesn’t give light just heat. I cut a little hole in the roof of the shelter and just hang it half way in from an extension cord. Saves a lot of money by not having to turn on the heater all night you know. Just another suggestion. You can tell I went through a lot of trial an error.

lol.yah i always hated trial and error.and yah the pond will be for a red eared slider.were going to build it next week.we were going to wait until the summer to build it outside but we have long winters so were gonna build it on a patio area but its inside the house.we have to find a way because hes gonna be in the same room with the indoor pool to keep him out of the pool cuz of chlorine.is there anyway i could block the pond off?i was thinking of one of those nylon tents.the ones that keep mosquitos out.do you think this would work?we would put it around the pond and you could still see it clearly.

That would probably work as long as its tough enough. Maybe chicken wire? Unless you think it would hurt itself. But yeah just as long as it has some place to go other than water itl be fine. I think like a log or something for it to sit on would be a good idea too, they do that a lot in their natural habitats.
