 ILL HERMAN TORTOISE

HI I NEED HELP ONE OF MY TORTOISES HAVE BECOME ILL, HIS SHELL IS BEGINING TO BECOME VERY SOFT, HE IS TRYING TO EAT BUT FINDS IT HARD, HIS TONGUE IS WHITE, AND HIS EYES SEEM TO BE VERY BAD AND IRRITATED, HIS EYES TAKE AGES TO OPEN AND SEEM VERY SORE, PLEASE PLEASE HELP, IM VERY SAD, I DO NOT WANT HIM TO DIE, ANY ADVICE PLEASE HELP

At this stage the vet is about all you can do to save him. And it needs to be extremely fast. When torts are as bad as you are describing they are close to death.

and did you purchase him from a petstore?

Hi, I had a hatchling that had the exact symptoms and it died about 4 days after they showed up. It was 11 months old. Good luck.
