You do indeed have 1 male and 1 female.
If they get nasty, seperate or buy another female to allow easy breeding.

Well thank you I also think they are beautiful. They have never shown a bit of aggression towards each other. I am thinking about getting another female for breeding purposes hopefully they will be ready to hibernate by this winter!

Cool I dident know you had tourtises smokey! I want to get a tourtise my self but im still doing some reasearch on witch ones I like and you know the story lol. Their very pretty! I like red foots alot but im still looking into others before I buy.

I was told these were CB the person I got them from dropped some nice coin on them! She ended up not being able to care for them (1 3 year old and a newborn came into her life lol) so she gave them to me as a birthday present.

that shows you full photos and good views of their tails, and vents.

The male has a slight hook at the edge, hermanns ahve a spur on the end, claw like shape yes.
I am unsure if russians have that spur but they have the hook.

My female has gone off feeding, pacing back and forth, and digging quite a bit, she also feels a bit heavy!!!

Hi Brandon, your female may very well be carrying eggs, but dont get your hopes up.
She could just be laying empty eggs.
She could jsut be gaining weight or something.

funny storie how i got my russian there was a rattle snake i our yard i wanted to keep it:) but my mom said no so some guys came and caught it and released it elsewhere and they said they hade a turtle in the back of thier truck and gave it to me it was found crossing the road so now i have a russian and oh i live in the middle of nowhere in south texas
