Is their any difference in temperament between female and male russian tortoises. I might buy 2 female russian tortoises, if there is any temperment differences please post..Rexx

oh and also I live in toronto and if I am going to purchase 2 russian tortoises, do i need a city permit? Where can i get one and how much will it cost thanks...Rexx

Hey Rexx, i dont think you need a permit for the tortoises.

Also your females will live happily together if they have been together for a long time or better still from babies.

if you purchase 2 babies and they are unsexable, they should grow up being ok together no matter the sex

Hello, I just bought a baby russian tortoise it’s a girl. I love her but something is wrong she will not eat...!!!!!!!!! :( :( Anyway I bought my turtle for $100 and for all the equip. not including a new cage it cost $97. Good Luck!

Rexx i dont think you need any permit at all.

you’ll have to phone a local reptile store or a reptile vet and ask this.
