if lonesome george is the last of his subspecies, why don’t they just breed him with a female galapagos tortoise and maybe have a half galapagos half Pinta Island Tortoise? |

They want to breed lonesome george but he isn’t cooperating. They are DNA testing every female for the closest genetics possible. :) |

They said that cloning is a LAST LAST LAST resort since they would all be males anyway. Not sure about the test tube torts lol. |

There are several diffrent subspeacies of Galop torts. gearge is the last of his kind when he is gone they will be extenct.that subspecies that is. |
