 Tortoise only eats bananas

Hi. I posted previously here...but am furthering the discussion. This is re: the box turtle I found in the park and brought home. He is in a pen outside...plants, mud, dirt, lettuce plants, grasses, weeds.etc.
He doesn’t seem to be very afraid of me. I have offered him lots of stuff on the turtle list, ie roses, nasturtians, lavender, et al, but the only thing I have actually seen him eat is banana. He really seems to like that a lot. I offered him some plum, but he said no thanks. I fully intend to turn him loose in a couple of weeks or at the end of the summer, back where I found him. I know he wants to be free. He is so darn cute, I like to watch him.

My question...what else will he eat? I offered an earthworm, he looked at it, put his nose down to it, and tromped on it.

also, he spends a lot of time in his soaking tub. At least half the day. Wont his shell get too soft?

I do have a smaller water dish in there for him to have fresh water to drink.

I named him Tortellini.

if he is wild, he will maybe go fishing for things in small swamps, ponds or streams.

Maybe find some earth worms, snails, slugs and insects.

Depends really whats around i guess.
