Smaller and easier species: Russians (testudo horsefieldii) Hermanns (testudo hermanni) Greeks (testudo graeca graeca) Ibera (testudo graeca ibera) Marginated (testudo marginata) Any of these above are very easy to keep going and often common to find around for sale. Their care is almost identicle to each other, but be sure you research the species your wanting. If your wanting bigger tortoises, then here are some bigger ones: Sulcata (geochelone sulcata) Leopard tortoise (Geochelone pardalis) Star tortoise (geochelone elegans) Redfoot tortoise (Geochelone carbonaria) Be sure you study their care before purchasing. here is a link with a list and other links of tortoises with caresheets. http://chelonia.org/care.htm there you go. |
