 Hey guys!!!

I got two Eastern Box turtles on saturday. They are both guessing around 3-4 months. Anyway I didn’t know they were such amazing climbers!!! worries because I found them. Now they are inside in a naturalistic terrarium with live plants that was ment to be for crested geckos but now its theres. They are very outgoing as well. Anyway...I believe that they are both male(already have some red in there eyes and they have a semi concave plastrom) so will they eventually fight? I can always make another enclosure but I don’t want to itf I don’t have to.

Thanks!

 Hey guys!!!

Maybe, maybe not...it depends.
let them grow together, and see how they go along.

 Hey guys!!!

Thanks.

Ok another dilema:

They are escaping out of the pens desighned for my tortoises. What is a good outdoor pen for a box turtle? like what is it made of?

 Hey guys!!!

if they’re still small just use an indoor rabbit cage?
these are great combinations of indoor and outdoor pens, i currently use that for my tortoises until my grandparents have finished building the extention to then outter-house for my grandfathers work room.

ITs either that or put a base on their pen and put some lining in it to prevent rotting the wood, and then fill it with soil or whatever boxies have.

 Hey guys!!!

hmm...I’ll do that later. For now they are ok in there tort table with live plants. They LOVE to burrow. The go all the way down the 6 inches. lol. Eco earth/spaghnum moss substrate. Eco on the top with the moss underneath. Each about 3 inches.

 Hey guys!!!

i’m almost positive they will fight when they get a bit older,if they already haven’t.
from what I’ve observed males are extremely territorial and hate any and all other males around them or their territory.
i know how territorial they are because i will bring a wild one(that i usually find wandering around my yard) around to my male’s cage and even the sight of another male get him all pumped up and angry(i always let them go afterward). so you might want to seperate them soon or whenever you see fighting going on.

 Hey guys!!!

well, sometimes that happens.
othertimes they fight.
and other times they live happily together, and do their usual critter things by eating, soaking, digging, climbing, and being the usual active happy turtles/tortoises.

i guess it depends.
