then you and your friend have not done research.

Tell your friend IMMEDIATELY to seperate those tortoises, it could lead to very bad illness or even worse DEATH!

Hi i do not know the diseases that can be passed on between 2 different species living together.

Well then your "boss" shouldn’t of got 2 different tortoises and put them together all because he is short on SPACE! if that was the case he should of just got one tortoise OR rehome one of them.

Whether he is a boss or a friend, you can show him. I certainly would if he was doing something wrong.

In many eyes its classed as animal cruelty.

dont speak to him as a freind, or an employee... Speak to him as a person who needs help with his animals.
If he is a good boss he wont fire you for trying to save his animals lives.
And for you disease question, if he keeps hem together its quite obvious there is sickness and stress going around.
Leopards= DESERT DWELLING Red foots= FOREST DWELLING I cant even tell you every thing about how wrong that is and what diseases will occur and stress etc... my fingers would fall off (actually possible lol).
1. immediatly I know they ARE BOTH not getting their correct diet
2.NO correct housing whatso ever
3. Tortoises should never be in glass cages.
4. if each is housed alone, A 40g would still be to small
5. some tortoises can die of stress just from being with another bigger than it and having no hides... BUT THESE TORTOISES are different species and the leopard will very soon outgrow the other
6. Disease tranfers (I cant even begin to write about this... I dont have time, But I can start another thread if you want me to
7. Does he even have UVB lights? if he doess... its still wrong they both require different amouts of UVB
8. Since he doesnt have them on their correct diet they probably have many kinds of vitamin and calcium deficiency
9. they both require TOTALLY different temps and Humidities
10. Why did he buy them without knowing anything about them... If the people who sold them to him didnt say anything about the housing or care and why they shouldnt be together probably come rom bad breeders and Have problems from the very start of their lives... these kinds of tortoises should be give the extra mile of what their requirements are.

I wish Luck talking to him.
if you have any questions you can pm me or start another thread
Good Luck!
