Pic of your outdoor enclosure... or any ideas
well if any one keep the russian torts or something in the outdoors.. are the temps oo hot in texas do you think.. it’s fall here now so the temps are like 90-105 rarey gets to 105 but like once every 1-2 weeks (excuse the missing letterssometimes the key don’t work on the computerr) if you have any pictures of your enclosures or any enclosure ideas? any basic info I may need. indoor enclosures are fin too if you have pics or any ideas... I’d rather have it outdoor because it’s healthier. and where did you get your Russian torts at too and around how much were they. -Kennedy- |

Anyways, My tort is outside and he does just fine. He has a large shallow water dish to soak in and it’s covered along w/ his food dish so the water stays cool and his food doesnt wilt. He also has a hide of course so w/ shade and plenty of water your tort should be ok at that temp. Here’s my enclosure..
The water dish is one of those dishes that goes under potted house plants (under $2 @ walmart). The substrate is 50/50 mix of play sand and soil. The hide, food dish and cuttlebone are from Petco. The kiddie pool is from walmart and I covered the top w/ chickenwire to keep him safe. :-) |

BUT it is basically a outdoor rabbit pen with a fencing of wiremesh all the way around. It has 2 lavander plants, 1 hebe plant, 2 hosta plants, and loads of weeds growing in it. the plants are in pots low enough for my babies to reach and nibble on. they use them mostly for shade. Ill get pics asap. |
