 Soft shell??

y would she have a soft shell?? his is hard and there bro an sis but shes much smaller i wish i could put pic but its not working for me :(

Have you check out THIS LINK
It can tell you LOTS AND LOTS of stuff about your tort?
Also check out the yahoo group African-tortoises
Make sure you have the proper UVB lighting, diet and housing
I would recommend the TREX brand 100 watt Active heat lamp... It gives off the best UVB and heat and last the longest

How do you know you have a male and female?

Thanks for the links
Yes i do have the proper housing, diet and lighting
I know the breeder an what teps they were keep at , there spers by there butt also (M/outF/in)
I wish i could put pics up there cute!

I sorry but you cannot sex a tortoise until they are mature....
Breeders can incubate the eggs at certain temps to try for certain results...
Like I have 2 leopards torts. They were hatched last December and they breeder told me they were incubated at temps for females but it is not 100% and I won’t be able to tell for a LONG time
I bet they are adorable!!!!! I haven’t seen a hatchling that isn’t
