 Might get a Sulcata

Ok. I’ve been taking in reptiles and keeping them. If I don’t keep them, I take the time to find them a good home. I got emailed last night about a Sulcata. I personally have never cared for one, but I have read up a great deal on them. This one is about 2 years old. I don’t know yet if it is male or female. The lady said she got it for her son and he no longer has an interest in it. She is asking for $50, is that a good price? I will probably rehome it as soon as I find a GOOD home. I have a yard, but it isn’t really all that big and I don’t think my roommate would enjoy me having to fence it in and dig holes.

Anything I should look out for? Should I try to talk her down on the fee? She said if $50 is too much that we can talk more about the fee.

Any info would be awesome.

Thank you.

and if it is only 2 years old, you wont know the sex of the tort for a long time
Jackie:)

Refer anyone who wants to rehome it from you to take the sulcata challenge at
THIS LINK

People need to be aware of this wonderful creature and how it can destroy...they just need to be prepared

Good Luck to you, Jackie:)

How long until I would know the sex. I’ve read up on their care. This person got it on a whim it seems and now that they found out what it will take, are giving it up. Says she had no luck finding anyone and I hate to see an animal go under cared for. So I am taking it in for the time being. I might put it up here then to find it the best home possible, probably just ask to be reimbursed for the adoption fee I pay.
