Sulcata growth I wouldn’t think so. Mine were born in May and are 2.5 inches long. Its better if they don’t grow too fast - it could cause pyramiding with rapid growth do to being over fed or fed the wrong things. He has doubled his size and thats good. I have heard of a sulcata being 3 months old and being 5 inches and thats a lot of growth very fast, it could lead to other probelms later down the road. But it is such a variable between torts so there is no exact right size.
May I ask what you are feeding your baby and what the set up is like? Hope some of that helped :)

Sulcata growth Like Heatseeker said slow growth is the key. I have kept my baby on record for awhile and as long as you see him gaining weight length isn’t as big a deal. Marlin is about 9months old and his length is 3in and girth is 3in. He’s only grown very slightly since I got him. But he weighs over a hundred grams now so I know he’s healthy.
