 Just goes to show

Well it just goes to show how smart the pet store is that i got my "russian tortoise" from. Yesterday i found out that my tortoise is not a russian tortoise. he/she is a greek tortoise, who was housed at the pet store with a russian tort. and the tank was labeled russian tortises. This is the second animal i got from that pet store. i got the tort for xmas from my fiance, along with an iguana, who is 3 feet in total length, and was being housed in a 20 gallon aquariam tank, which is really sad. the ig is very hand tamed, he is missing alot of spikes, and his front toe nails are clipped all the way down to his toes, very sad. they were orginally asking 100.00 for the ig, and we talked them down to 30.00, they were selling the tort for 250.00, which i think is a joke, on top of that the tort was sick, but he is now much better. just glad we didnt pay that much for the tort, they just gave him/her to us to get rid of him for the new stock they are getting in.

It amazes me that pet stores get away with that kind of stuff. Too bad, because there a couple of pet stores here and there that are decent, but there are more stores that give all stores a bad rap. PE
