 What the heck!

I was changing my two frogs water dish. I noticed all these white things floating in the water and they were lumped together. They were moving around. The whole group was only about the size of a spit puddle. What in God’s green earth are they? I’m scared! Thanks

 What the heck!

Yeah were they like literally swimming, or just moving from the cage being pushed on or something ?

 What the heck!

They were wiggling seperately but all in a big group lumped together. They looked like a big lump of spit. I took them out and put them in a different container and they were defently moving, they weren’t moving anywhere they were just wiggling. There was two or three that were seperated from the group and they were moving two. Later I also noticed that there were black specks. I threw them in the trash and refilled the water bowl. I hope they aren’t the reason that my tree frog has been acting weird. thanks.

 What the heck!

Possibly springtails if they are oval shaped and very very tiny, about one to two millimeters. On the substrate they will spring away to move besides crawling.

If you get springtails, they are a good tank janitor and are used as food for tiny frogs like thumbnail darts.
