 Sick wtf?

Hello. A friend bought me my WTF Irwin back in May. He has been doing awesome until recently. The other day I noticed this lump near his right arm that feels like jelly, like an abscess. He hasn’t been acting himself lately, he wont climb anymore and just burrows under his log all day, the comes out at night to soak. He is still eating regularly, so there is no problem with his weight. I have looked up many sites and haven’t found one that helped me out. I hope someone here can help. I’m really worried about him.

here is a picture of what it looks like. sorry about the large size and the crappy quality.

Update

It now looks like the area ruptured. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing...
The spot still looks red and irritated, and kind of looks like there was some oozing from the spot. Should I be worried?
If this helps, he is still eating and going after crickets. His color is also a bright green with a little bit of a bluish color on his nose.

 Sick wtf?

we have a WTF called Irwin too!!!!

I’d get meal fix and dip him as the instructions on this site............. I’ll bump them........

What are your temps and humidity in the tank. Should be 80-85 day............ 75-80 night, on the warm side.
Should be 50-60% humidity but with the sore........... I think I’d keep it a bit lower to reduce the risk of bacteria. Keep humidity at about 40%.
Make sure you have the light difused in the tank so that he can get away from it a bit too.

Also make sure you are treating the water and have nothing abrasive in the tank, like rough rocks rough substrate etc.

Sorry I couldn’t get to the pic, SLOW dial up here!!!

The fact that he is eating is a good sign. But I would treat with the mela fix. You can get it from Walmart in the fish section.

Hi tique is it possible to get a picture of the wound??? do you know the temp and humidity in the tank
you said looks like its oozing from the spot does that mean the wound has burst and now opened ?? Is he the only one in the tank?? if not separate him from the others save spreading it to others. if hes the only one i would setup a hospital tank for him.
paper towel, water dish and a hide, you will also have to do the mela fix there is instruction here on forum for it but make sure you follow it to the T.

Keep us posted

 Sick wtf?

The temperature inside his tank is 83 with 60% humidity.
He has plenty of places to get away from the light, his favorite is his little log cave that he has been hiding in recently.
I am treating his water, I use exo terra aquatize conditioner.
The bedding in his tank is moss and reptile bark, but its under the moss. Do you think it could be irritating his wound?
Thank you so much for your help. I was going to make a vet appointment, but I will try the mela fix and see if that helps. I was really beginning to worry about him.

Another thing you should do is get him off the moss and onto paper towels! cleaner, you can watch his waste etc. im wondering, is the reptile bark small enough for him to eat? I seen a wtf at a petsmart once on reptile bark and everytime he went after a cricket he got a mouth full of bark that i know can not be good. cleaner, you can watch his waste etx
