 My future Grey’s setup

I said I get some pics of my future grey’s setup, so I did. :)

A top veiw:

A side veiw:

The little flower pot is full of moss that I had left over.

The setup is 22 inches long X 14 inches deep X 11 inches tall.

I baked all the sticks at 350 in the oven for 25 minutes...

When we get the grey, my dad is going to cut a hole in the lid, with mesh, that is were the light will go...

How does it look?

The tank/tub is not big enough.
The care sheet you said you were going by, tells you measurements. Your getting a tree frog, so it needs more height.
Click on the pics on that care sheet you will see your branches are not near big enough.

After you put the light on, it will probably get to warm in there for the frog. You don’t have any gauges.
There is no way to make a warm side and a cool side.

If you had your wtf in a 20gal, why are you not using that? Was the 20 gal really the 10 gal that you spoke about before?

You can’t use printed paper towels as these have a dye added... Must be plain white ones for a sick tank...

Those branches may be too thin by the pic... They should be a good 3/4 to inch thick for tree frogs or multiple like with vines for climbing...

The painted flower pot is risky for dye contamination....you should use a plain terra cotta type or ceramic type. The flower pot must be sealed clay....

Glass is better for a tank.... A big issue in the type you have posted is air flow... tree frogs tanks should be vented by screens on top. Though a smaller tank for quarantine is ok it still must be maintained to proper temps and humidity. I doubt this tank will do any of that once lights etc are added..

I know your trying Emma... Is there an adult that could help you set up and maybe buy a frog?

Read my other answers Emma on your other post....

Whitie-

I know. I plan to add more. thicker branches too...

I know, I don’t have any gauges yet... It is just the beginning process of the setup, I plan to add way more things to it before I get the frog. :)

I don’t know if you were trying to mean that like I was 11 years old or somthing, but yes I do. I don’t need help. My mom does help me out with setting up my animals cages and ect.
Just what ever you do, please, please don’t treat me like I am a little child. I am a teen.... :)

Actually I was thinking financial obligations... Like a new tank and heat as you will need guages, lamps and uth and food etc...

Do you still have your pacman?

Oh, sorry Hoppy. I though you were treating me like a little child....

Than yes, my mom and dad. Well me, I like to pay for everything. They just pay for the food...

Not trying to hijack the thread here but it is better to keep baby leos in a smaller tank so they can find food easier.

Muffinman..

A 20 gallon is fine for a baby leo... I actually prefer the 20 over a 10 gallon more room for the humid hide and cave and deco...
I like to add a large rock on the cool side for them to lay on..With a 10 there just isn’t the room...

.... As they are still learning to hunt at this stage make sure they get most of their fill of food from mealworms.. Then leave crix with food for him to hunt....
I only put 4 to 6 sml to med size crix in the tank. I know some say never leave crix in but if you leave food I have never had a problem.. I use carrot or fishflakes for the crix..
A bonus with the cave is most crix will go in there and the gecko can get them..

You don’t need any lights, heat, or gauges for gray tree frogs, they are best at room temp and don’t need any special lighting....They are really pretty easy....

Thats okay if you want to do that but he will know its day out anyway if your curtains are open or the lights are on in the room hes in, he doesnt need a light shining right in his face.
