Where to let american green tree frog go?

I have an american green tree frog. He was actually included (by accident) in some flowers that came from FL to NJ. We have had him for about 2 or 3 years, but want to let him go.

I’m concerned that releasing him in NJ wouldn’t be a good climate for him (even though it is June) considering the winters are so cold. We are traveling to NC soon, should he be let go there?

Otherwise we are going to let him go near a pond in NJ. Thanks for any suggestions.

No don’t let him go. Not after this long he will not survive. The biggest problem will be the immunity issues.
Contact The local petshop or school someone would be more than happy to take it and give it a good home.
