and how do you keep it that color someone told me they should be brown ans then today the lady at petco said they should be green.... so which is it??? brown/green |

I Think it just matters on the color of your stuff in the tank and what ur temps and humidity is at Chumpy likes to be brown but became a dark greenish and brownish Tsunami is green all the time during the day and at night more of a brown color also if they feel like being brown or if they just wana be green so idk at night i think they turn darker colors they can be a bluish to but ive only seen it online........
This is Tsunami in a very nice green color.

oh so if they are brown then its bad?? in the pic of just the one that is kinda brown and then it goes to geen.. thats what my frog looks like most of the time i dont have anything green in my tank right now cuz i just got it and all but do you think that may be why cuz my humidity and heat is fine i dont think she is stressed out ... she really has no reason to be i dont think..... hey btw thank 4 all the help .... ur like the only1 tht helps me out!!!! |

WTF can range in colour from chocolate brown to lime green. And anything in between. They can also be blue. Most frogs have a "natural colour" that they spend most of their time. All of them have the ability to change colour to camoflage to their surroundings. We have one that is naturally a reddy brown and one that is blue. We changed everything in the tank now so it is 99% bright green colours and the brown one is now green most of the time. The blue one is blue all the time. There are many factors that affect a frog’s colour, that I think mostly we don’t really understand. But controlling the colours in their environment will have an affect on their colour and you can manipulate it slightly in that way. Grey and black are not good colours for WTFs it indicates sickness usually. |

Frogs use camoflauge so they will match their envoronment for the most part.... However they should never be black... Black is very ill.... If they are with toxins or cold etc they turn black or over stressed... Not brown but black.. HOPPY |
