Questions about new terrarium set up

I have been doing some research on terrariums. I presently have one WTF in a 10 gallon fish tank. I want to purchase an 18X18X18 terrarium and add another frog. I can’t decide between the exo-terra or the naturalistic terrarium. The exo-terra is $30.00 more and it does not contain a light bar that allows you to mount lighting directly in the terrarium. I am not not sure if this is necessary or even safe. Is it ok that the bulbs are right inside the terrarium? I worry about it burning the frog. Does anyone have either terrarium? What is your opinions? The exo-terra does come with a rock-like background which looks very nice.

i have an exoterra and i love them personally

and no it is VERY dangerous to have the light fixture inside the tank they will jump on it and get burned

some will argue that 20g is too little for 2 frogs but i think 10g per frog is fine as long as you have at least a 20g but 10g is too small for one IMO

and when you say another frog you do meananother WTF right?

i also wanted to add that if they get on the large size(like if you have a female) i would definatly get a 30 or 40g for 2 bigger is always better

Yes, I do plan on getting another WTF. The largest size terrarium I saw was a 18X18X18, what is this equivalent to as far as gallons. I did see one that was 18X18X24 but I have heard that this is taller and it is not necessary for the WTF to go with this size.

Those are 26 and 33 gals.

No lights on the inside. ZooMed (the one I have) also makes an outside canopy (check their website) it is cheap and unlike the Exo one you can use more than a 15 W bulb. I have the ZM myself and ordered the real wood cork background, it’s really nice and natural.

I love the exo terra tanks... Nice for frogs as its easy to clean and see etc.... This is just for ideas but I didn’t have a pic of my lights...

I would reccomend a timer power bar. Though expensive it saves you in the long run. Just insure the one you chose has night and day timer plus 24 hr running.. this allows you add uth or waterfalls etc which run all the time. The night and day is for night bulb and day bulbs...
I buy cheap fixtures from a hardware store that have the dome shape shade (they were clip lights but I removed the clips). This way they just sit on the screen part....

Wow, your tank looks beautiful. Do you have artificial or live plants? I am thinking of setting up the new terrarium with live plants.
