My whites tree frog passed away So I got a White’s Tree Frog recently and he was fine for a few weeks and then all of the sudden his nose looked rubbed, and within a couple hours of finding his nose like this he died. I have had a few frogs die recently, two of which were red eye tree frogs who had bacterial infections from the shop I got them from and the infection killed one of my other frogs(my peacock tree frog jimineat crickets) bless his little soul. I have kept my other frogs just fine and they are doing well. What type of frog would you reccomend I try next?

My whites tree frog passed away Personally, my favorite kinds of tree frogs are whites and GTFs. If you didn’t fall in love with the white’s like I did, then maybe you should get some GTFs. They’re a really pretty green, easy to keep a live, hardy, active and just fun.

My whites tree frog passed away I actually have a green. I named her baby then found out it was a boy but I still call him baby! He is the best hunter and I can always rely on him to eat. I also have a grey tree frog named Farley who is pretty neat. I did love my Whites though. I named him Gibson. Aren’t Whites supposed to be easy to take care of? I monitored him wayyy closer than my other frogs and he died. Like I said I’m pretty sure that he had an infection when I bought him. Maybe I’ll try the Whites again. Thanks!

My whites tree frog passed away Yeah, the thing about frogs is that once they start showing signs of illness, a lot of times it’s too late to save them. My blue dumpy was sick with something I never figured out and died. I have another one now. You just need to make sure you trust where you buy them from and check over their health very thoroughly. White’s are hardy because they tolerate a wide range of humidity and environment. I personally love them and would pick them over any other frog.

My whites tree frog passed away I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.
I agree with the other post, get another wtf.
Make sure you sterlize everything in the tank and the tank, if you can’t sterlize it throw it away.
Make sure to wash your hands before and after touching any other frogs or tanks.
Can you show us a pic of all your tanks? Maybe we can get a better idea of what is going on.
Good luck

My whites tree frog passed away Sorry I had him in his own tank and it was completely disassembled yesterday. I have done countless hours of research on the best habitat for them and I know that I keep them very very clean. Im sort of ocd about making sure that they are alright. Im a panicky frog owner. But I think I am going to try another Whites I think. The one I had last time had a bit of a rubbed nose when I got him and I thought that I could keep him going. I’ll try and get the healthiest one I can find next time. Thanks for all your thoughts!

My whites tree frog passed away Sorry for your loss.....
As you said about nose rub... Usually this means there is an issue with the tank...
If possible you might like to slowly set up your tank with pics and post on here so members can analyze it for you.... Many new owners do this so they can insure they are correct....
Its quite possible that you have something that is toxic without knowing it....
