First of all that red eye is probably WC which would be caring several parasites. Even if it is CB it still carries different parasites than the others. NEVER MIX DIFFERENT SPECIES. You should never put a newly bought frog in with already established frogs. You should always quarantine the new one for at least 30 days before putting it in with others. If the new one is sick or has anything that it could pass on to your others, then you will have all your frogs sick. Red eyes, can get stressed very easily with different species. Which can cause sickness or worse. I would separate it from the others A.S.A.P. make sure the temps and humidity are correct for a red eye. Sorry this is so short but I’m at lunch and need to get back to work, I will ck back this evening to see if you need any more help. Hopefully someone else will post here in the mean time. |

Optimum conditions are a tank at the correct temps and humidity (keep them a little on the higher side of the range for babies). Lots of cover (plants, hides, branches). Cover the front and sides with paper bags taped up. Leave them be. Put 4-6 crickets (about the size of the distance between their eyes) in every other day with a piece of potato to both feed the crix and attract them to a central spot for the frogs to find. Never EVER mix red eyes with other species! (Not to mention not quaranting for at least a month, you can easily lose your entire collection by not doing this) You can even temporarily put the red eye into a rubbermaid tub with some vent holes, but get it out of there right away. Even a cricket keeper would be better than exposing the new one to the stress of other species and a new place all in one. Here is a good caresheet, check the temps and humidity levels against what is on it, you do need gauges to see what they are since they are not the same as your room temps.
