New Crestie tank pics
Anyways, it’s a ZooMed 18x18x24" tank (33 gals like the Exo only one door, not two). I used cork bark flats on the back and two sides (the Exo has styrofoam so I went with something more natural). I actually cut the sides out of one large piece so that I would have partial coverage on the sides so they were more secure. Then since they are INCREDIBLY messy I have a plastic climbing structure in there, and the front log is also fake. But the plants are all real with the exception of the suction cup one on top, that is just there till other stuff fills in. I have some more broms to add to the background too. There is a feeding ledge on the right hand side, very convenient as they eat the fruit diet and there is a removable cup which is nice. I have my two adult girls in there now, they had been in separate cages but seem to be doing fine in there. |

The one in the pic is actually a lucky score from Petco, she had been there for a couple months and she was so yellow I just loved it, she’s filled in and fires up to a nice harley actually. Not bad for $40. Then I have a banana yellow female from a breeder, a harley boy I originally rescued from someone just wanting out of them, and a smaller hatchling unsexed that is a burnt orange color that is still small. They were all housed separately till I put the two girls together just now. I am thinking of adding the male in for breeding for a few months this summer. |

Sadly our Petco hasn’t been that great lately but was better a couple years back when I got her. Petsmart is better but rarely has these guys, not that I’d go that way again, she was just so good looking and I’d seen her so many times that I had to have her. |
