Daytime temp problem
Stuey, my WTF, habitat is not getting or staying warm enough for him. He is in a classroom and the school tends to get cold, I wear a sweater on most days. He has a 20 gallon tank, an UTH, and two lightbulbs on a timer for the daytime, they’re 60 watts. If I cover the top mesh part of his tank with a towel or saran wrap it gets warm enough but the humidity gets dangerously high for him. Most days his light is on, the UTH is on 24 hrs but I leave his one of the doors open so the humidity can escape. I have an electric space heater, it’s not one of the flamable kind and is approved for school usage. Can I place it under the desk?? The idea is that the heat would rise and heat the tank more. The air is turned off on the weekends and at night so those temps i’m not worried about so much. I know I asked you guys for help last school year and I think the highest I could get the tank during the day was 80. |
