Rescued wtf-need treatment for worms
Rescued older wtf from pet store...
She looks ok, but is extremely skinny...I think she was starving.....
She is eating like crazy.....,
Is in separate cage right now....
Stools look fine....but I would like to treat her for worms before I place her with the others.
I have powdered panacur, which I sprinkled on crickets...
Do I repeat this in 10 days?????I forget the parasites cycle....
Any help would be great....
Thanks

Rescued wtf-need treatment for worms I would try feeding her for a week or so to get her weight up. Pancur can be dusted on insects, but it is impossible to control the dosage, which is important with this particular medication. 25mg/kg bodyweight is the dosage. I would mix it with some water and adminster orally. 10 days of treatment should be fine. However, I would hold off and see if the frog just needs some food. I would more likely suspect something like a bacterial infection or chyrid. If you want to medicate I would also treat with lamasil for chyrid. However, your best bet is to get a fecal done and see if there’s any worms or parasites. Too strong a dosage of pancur can damage the bones of the frog. Too weak a dose can create resistant parasites... best of luck.
