 Baby whites

I have read that small whites tree frogs should be kept in a smaller tank( like 10 gal.) when they are young as they can find crix easier. Is this true? and how big should they be before moving to a 30 gallon?

I have a juvenile WTF in a 10 gallon tank and he seems to be doing fine. I believe I’ve read that they should be moved to a bigger tank at around 8-10 months old. Which is also around when they reach maturity.
