Cannibalism I recently branched out & purchased 3 fire belly toads. They were in their own tank separate from Todd. I seem to be missing 2 of them now. I last saw all of them on Fri. when I cleaned their tank. I have looked under every little hidey-hole in the tank & cannot find them. I’ve even broadened my search to the house but still no luck. I can’t even imagine how they could’ve got out of the tank since it’s pretty sealed. Could the one have eaten the others? I bought them at the same time & they are all the same size. At any rate, it’s very disturbing. Thanks!

Cannibalism if they are the same size no they didnt get eaten
bealieve it or not these guys are very good at escaping and eventhough they are not tree frogs they can climb up straight surfaces very well
my guess is they got out and are somewhere in your house

Cannibalism I think my cat got them. The next day, she was doing some major projectile vomiting but before I could get over to study it, my dog cleaned it up. She’s fine now & shows no ill-side effects. I’ve plugged up a couple of places in the tank where they might be able to get out. I got Hannibal a tank-mate, Clarisse, & so far, all is well.
